Beta Theta sponsors blood drive at Minot State

The Beta Theta Sorority, working with United Blood Services, is bringing a blood drive to the Minot State University campus Wednesday (March 9) in the Group X Room of the Wellness Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sometime in their lives, 80 percent of the population will need blood. However, in North Dakota only 3 percent donate. Common recipients of donated blood are cancer patients, heart-surgery patients, premature babies and accident victims. Each blood donation saves three lives.

United Blood Services serves 109 area hospitals with 550 donors per day. For more information, go to https://www.bloodhero.com/. For questions about United Blood Services, contact Teresa Johnson, donor recruiter, at tjohnson2@bloodsystems.org or (701)609-4110.

Everyone is welcome to donate. To book a time slot, contact Chelsea Geis, Beta Theta philanthropy chair, at Chelsea.geis@my.minotstateu.edu.
